Pastor Tim Collard
Pastor Tim Collard is a graduate of Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga and Northland International University in Dunbar, Wisconsin. He pastored three churches in Michigan and Wisconsin before coming to Faith Baptist of Pekin in 2007.
Pastor Collard and his wife, Sandra, enjoy the wide variety of ministry that FBC provides. Pastor directs the “Just Guys” ministry and is actively involved with the children’s ministry. His wife leads the FBC Girlfriends group and helps out in the church office.
The Collards have two grown children who are serving the Lord alongside their spouses. Elizabeth & Chris Green live in Longmont, Colorado, and James & Angela Collard are in Katy, Texas.
Pastor Chip Herbert
Pastor Chip Herbert serves the Lord as the Assistant Pastor of Faith Baptist Church. He is a graduate of Maranatha Baptist University and Maranatha Baptist Seminary in Watertown, Wisconsin. Pastor Chip and his wife, Sarah, have been married since May 26, 2012 and joined the ministry here in 2013.
They are both musically talented; Sarah teaches piano lessons in the community and through our Christian school. Chip & Sarah enjoy sports and can be seen “running through the neighborhood” when the weather permits.
Pastor Chip oversees the Sunday School ministry, assists with the youth group, and directs special projects. He also leads the chapel program for Faith Baptist Christian School.
Rev. Shawn Haynie
Rev. Shawn Haynie joined the staff as Administrator of Faith Baptist Christian School in June of 2013. He is a graduate of Northland International University (Dunbar, Wisconsin) and Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan. His educational experience includes Christian schools in Georgia, Michigan, and Indiana. He and his family also spent six years in the South American country of Chile where he led in the development of a Seminary which provided Bible and ministry training for the national pastors.
Shawn and his wife, Tina, are Illinois natives, having grown up in Rockford and Somonauk, respectively. They are glad to be back in their home state. The Haynies have five children; their youngest, Stephen, is a high school student at FBCS.
